  Criclounge Ball to Ball Commentary

So, that is it from us. It has been a fascinating test match right throughout, with the balance swinging regularly. Pakistan looked down and out same time yesterday but were pulled out of the dungeons by their young performers to give them a score they could fight with. In the end that proved to be more than enough as England buckled under pressure and collapsed in a heap to the spin of Ajmal and Rehman. This is Krish along with Darshan and Arun saying adios.

Misbah:
First of all I would like to thank Almighty, that was much needed victory for us, wonderful team effort, everybody put their 100%, what we were looking before start of the series we achieved that. Worried about the lead, we were looking for 325, we were short by 60 - 70 runs. Azhar and Shafiq playing under pressure, wonderful performance. I was hoping that 125 - 130 could be a good fight. One thing you want from youngsters is temperament. England is No.1 but they have crumbled. Our youngsters performed under pressure. I was having belief in my bowlers, if the pitch is turning then there is a belief, we play spin well, and we struggled. So, it is difficult to play Rehman and Ajmal. The ball turned sometimes and didn't turn sometimes, it was keeping low. We will try to go and play good cricket. That is another day and another game.  I would like to thanks the crowd and thank you to the curators to produce a wicket, supporting us. What a well spoken person, looks calm, not over excited.

Strauss: We are feeling down and disappointed but it is important to acknowledge that Pakistan played well and they deserve to win the series. I wish I could explain, very good bowling, applying pressure, we didn't take our options well, outstanding game of cricket, fantastic wicket. We came out short but ultimately, you have to congratulate Pakistan. You need to spend a time and things get easier, there is balance between defence and attack. We got into a good position, Monty was good, Cook and Broad were good. We couldn't take our opportunities. You have got to keep your pad out of the way. Longer you spend, easier it gets. We have been rolled over 3 out of 4 times and the top order has to take that on the chin and come back. We have to show our resilience.

Rehman
: Thanks to my Allah and management, first time I have received 5-for, lot of times I stopped at 4, so thanks to Allah, yesterday we were thinking 150 were enough. We decided to bowl line and length. Ajmal is the great partner, he is No.1 bowler, he has given me lot of confidence from the other end.

MoM to the unsung hero of Pakistan over the last 1 year, Abdul Rehman.

Outstanding performance award to Monty, what a comeback but he ends up on the losing side.

Bank Alfalah Maximum 4s to Asad Shafiq.

Grand Midwest best bowler of the match to Saeed Ajmal.

$500 50-50 Sweet & Salty performance to Broad.

M & A maximum number of 6s to Misbah.

Michael Atherton with the presentation party.

Hussain calls this a special day for Pakistan, the country and Pakistan, the cricket team. Pakistan are the better side, according to Hussain.

Rameez Raja - A team which is supposed to be unpredictable has become predictable under Misbah ul Haq. Much needed win for the nation.

Mohsin Khan and Andy Flower have a long and serious chat. Wonder what the discussion is about, but take a bow to Pakistan's interim coach and their Rock of Gibraltar captain! The Pakistani fielders are lifting Mohsin Khan in the air, great scenes and even the calm Misbah looks pumped up.

They are jubilant. Misbah punches the air, Hafeez has stumps, Mohsin Khan looks calm, hugs the support staff and the Pakistan fielders in the middle are hugging each other. Great scenes for a team that has come from behind in this test to clinch the series. The spinners have taken all the wickets and England will have to do some soul searching about playing on turning tracks to quality spinners, if they have to justify their ranking.

36.1

Abdur Rehman to James Anderson, OUT!! England have hardly put up any resistance. Flatter on off, Anderson slog sweeps this, gets a thick outside edge, a skier for Gul at deep backward square leg and he takes a good catch.
James Anderson c Umar Gul b Abdur Rehman 1(2)

Ajmal becomes the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets in test match for Pakistan

Monty Panesar Left Hand Batsman comes to bat.

35.6

Saeed Ajmal to Matt Prior, OUT!! 100 test match wickets for Saeed Ajmal. He becomes the fastest Pakistani to get there. Flighted from around off stump, Prior drives away from the body, ends up hitting it uppishly, straight to the short cover point fielder and the last recognised batsman from England is gone.
Matt Prior c Asad Shafiq b Saeed Ajmal 18(45)

They were speaking about England's bounce back ability, winning 4 test matches in recent times, immediately after losing one. This time, it could be an impossible task.
