Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has gained eight places in the ICC ODI player rankings to reach 12th spot after his record breaking 219-run innings against West Indies at Indore.
Young Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who is the leading run scorer this calendar year and scored 243 runs in the recent ODI series against West Indies, has claimed the third spot in the ODI rankings. The Delhi dasher is also India's highest-ranked batsman.
The skipper MS Dhoni(5th) and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir(18th) are the other Indian batsmen in top 20.
India's middle-order batsman Rohit Sharma, who was adjudged Man of the Series for scoring 305 runs in the five one-dayers against West Indies, has made a long jump of 20 places to reach 36th position.
West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has jumped 11 places to claim 51st position in the batsmen rankings after his explosive century in the fifth and final ODI against India.
While, Indian left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has achieved his career-best ranking of 13 after picking up nine wickets in the five ODIs against West Indies.
Jadeja also gained two places in the all-rounder rankings to become India's highest-ranked all-rounder in 10th position.
