Dhoni-led India is going through a rough patch as they faced their seventh straight defeat on foreign soil.

As if 4-0 whitewash in England was not enough, India have been outplayed in the Australian summer also as the visitors have lost first three Tests and second back-to-back whitewash at overseas is not looking far away.

Dhoni, who is on target of critics for his defensive captaincy, couldn't do much with his bat also as has scored just 133 runs in his last eight innings at a very ordinary average of 16.5.

"Dhoni is our captain and we should support him. The team needs our support," Kapil Dev said.

"Yes, India have played very badly and we are all unhappy, but let's talk about them only after the series," he added.
