With Sri Lanka's win in the last two one-dayers against South Africa, India have regained the second spot in the ICC ODI team rankings.
India had lost second position to South Africa after they won the first three ODIs against Sri Lanka. However, Proteas' defeat in the fourth and fifth ODI helped World Champions regain their place.
South African opener Graeme Smith has moved five places to 17th spot after scoring 229 runs in the recently concluded five match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Proteas pacer Lonwabo Tsotsobe, who played an important role in his team's 3-2 series victory by taking 11 scalps, has made a long jump of 10 places as he reached third position behind Pakistan's spin duo of Saeed Ajmal and and Mohammad Hafeez.
While, Dale Steyn has lost five places to 15th spot after having an ordinary one-day series with ball against Sri Lanka. His team-mate Morne Morkel also lost one place to seventh position.
Sri Lanka's seamer Lasith Malinga has gained one place to 10th spot after claiming 11 wickets in the five one-dayers against South Africa.
