BCCI Shaken Out of Its Reverie By Indian Debacle

Australian media has heavily criticized the lack of fight in the Indian team, the same team which had won some stunning contests from behind not long ago. The BCCI Working Committee meet at Chennai in the 2nd week of February is one to watch out for.

How times change in cricket! A year ago, Indian cricket and BCCI were on a high after a well organized ODI World Cup saw the team emerge winners, holding on to their No.1 ranking in tests at the same time. BCCI's Working Committee has to come out of the stupor and take concrete steps if India are to win any respect at international level.

If the rut has to be arrested and the transition planned, BCCI has to come out of its hot air balloon and see what is going wrong at grass roots level. Only then can Indian team be more consistent with its cricket.
