Australian pacer Brett Lee has been ruled out of the triangular one-day series against India and Sri Lanka due to a broken foot.
The 35-year-old Lee has injured his foot during the recent second T20 international against India when he was struck hard by Indian skipper MS Dhoni's powerful shot in his follow through.
Lee is doubtful for the Caribbean tour also, starting from 16th March, as he will remain sidelined for four to six weeks.
"He was able to complete the over, however the foot became more painful and swollen the following day. An X-ray has confirmed a fracture of the small toe," Trefor James, Australia team doctor, said.
"We now expect Brett will return to cricket in four to six weeks."
It has been learnt that Lee's replacement will be named after tri-series opener against India.
