Zimbabwe Outclassed By a Country Mile, Lose the series

These are great times for New Zealand cricket. A win against Australia in their own backyard in tests after two decades gave them plenty of cheer. Now a reasonably young side has thrashed Zimbabwe with ruthlessness.
Zimbabwe had already lost the 3 ODI series before arriving at Napier. Any chances of their slavaging some pride, disappeared even before their chase began with New Zealand piling on 373 at the loss of just 8 wickets. New Zealand’s batting seems to be in good hands, for a side posting back to back 350+ scores is a rare even in ODI cricket.
New Zealand have also shown gradual improvement as the series progressed, winning the first ODI by 90 runs, the second one by 141 runs and the third by a mammoth 202 runs, with their skipper McCullum also getting the MoM in the 3rd ODI for a scintillating batting display. 3 different players winning the MoM for the 3 ODIs, Martin Guptill and RJ Nicol being the other two, will be another positive for the New Zealand team.
The two teams will clash against each other in two T20s following this. Brendan Taylor has some serious problems to tackle if he has to make the T20 series a tighter contest. He mentioned that his side got to learn a lot from New Zealand through the ODI series.
