As an introspection of the loss to Australia in the Test series, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to sack the bowling coach Eric Simmons and hire the Australia's first class bowler, Joe Dawes.
"Joe Dawes has been appointed the Bowling Coach of the Indian team, for a period of two years,", Sanjay Jagdale said.
Representing Queensland, the right arm pace bowler got 285 wickets in the 76 matches. However he never played International game.
He was also the bowling coach for South Australian Redbacks and Adelaide Strikers.
Eric Simmons who has been sacked is also coach of Delhi Daredevils in the upcoming Indian Premier League Edition V.
Much has been talked about India’s poor performance with the ball in the test series struggling to dismiss Australians twice.
