The hard hitting South African Richard Levi is certainly living his dream. After scoring the fastest T20 century, Levi is now being talked about in the IPL circles. It is now being said that Pune Warriors have bid USD 400,000 for Levi. With Jesse Ryder already in their team, Pune Fans would love to see Levi opening with him.

Incidentally Richard Levi was not bought in the auctions that took place a few weeks ago.  With 13 sixes, he literally smashed the ball to all the parts of the park as he broke world records. Suddenly one innings later, he is wanted in the IPL circuit shows the impact of his hundred.

Reacting to this new development, New Zealand stand in skipper, Brendon Mc Cullum showed no surprise. “Why not? That innings was one of the few when you get to see someone in full cry. If he can replicate that consistently over the course of his career I'm sure he's going to be pretty well sought after."

Incidentally, Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle and Suresh Raina, have scored international T20 hundreds and are major players in the IPL competition. If Levi gets a berth the fans would be would be in for lots of sixes this season.

South African captain AB de Villiers said Levi is a humble guy but when it comes to the game he is not going to calm down. "I don't want him to calm down. He's a humble guy, down to earth, and he starts from zero tomorrow."

Both the captains played down the incident were Tim Southee apparently roughed up Levi with a few words. While de Villers said it woluld be surprising if the Kiwi fast bowler had not come up with a taunt or two because he believes fast bowlers have to be aggressive.

"That's what a fast bowler should be like," de Villiers said. "It'd be weird if he didn't do that. It's part of the game, and it will be around for the rest of the summer." Meanwhile Brendon McCullum believed that Southee had not crossed the limits and it was all in good spirit.
