Zaheer and Sehwag back in the squad to Sri Lanka

The selectors have announced the 14 man squad for the Micromax Cup touring Sri Lanka later this month. Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan who had missed the Asia Cup, return back to the squad while Tendulkar has decided to skip the tour.

Another interesting decision was to hand over the vice captaincy to Gautam Gambhir after his impressive leadership skills in the Indian Premier League leading his team to a win. Apart from the experienced openers, MS Dhoni will have the services of young brigade in Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Manoj Tiwary in batting. Pragyan Ojha and Rahul Sharma will comrpise the spin department headed by R Ashwin.

The team is scheduled to play 5 ODIs and a T20 beginning on July 21st.
