The former India captain was also quite friendly with them taking their questions some of which were as dangerous as Shoaib Akhtar bouncers.
However, the Prince of Kolkata tackled everything as elegantly as he was used to playing his off-drives during the playing days. He found a child's question as to why Indian pacers slow down over the years as very pertinent.
"Very good observation," Ganguly stated. "I think it's mainly because of their lack of strength and fitness. At the same time it is also their attitudes. A pacer should always think, say like Shoaib Akhtar and be imposing on the field," he said.
The former India skipper, however, was very optimistic about India's future.
"I think much of Indian cricket's future will rest on Virat Kohli now. I see a lot of talent in India, but they should be given time to settle down at the international level," he said.
Last season's Bengal Ranji skipper is also happy with the present state side.
"I feel a number of Bengal players like Ashok Dinda, Manoj Tiwary, Wriddhiman Saha, Mohammad Sami have loads of talent and temperament to play for India," he said.
